How do I clear footprints from ';search the web window';?

Before I type the site which I am visiting, all previous sites visited appear. i don't want other users to know which sites I have visited.How do I clear footprints from ';search the web window';?
To completely delete it follow these steps.





Internet Explorer


Go to tools%26gt;Internet options. Delete cookies, delete files, delete history, set delete history to 1 day. Click the content tab, and go to AutoComplete option, then select clear forms.





*also go to security--%26gt; clear my footprints just to make sure it's deleted.





Yahoo


Click the pencil and click clear history. Click the pencil again and click toolbar options. Uncheck remember recent searches and check IE clears history on close. If you don't have these options download the latest Yahoo toolbar or delete it by clicking start-%26gt;settings-%26gt;control panel-%26gt; add/remove programs.





Firefox


Go to tools%26gt;options%26gt;privacy. Delete cache and cookies. It's also under ';clear private data'; in newer versions with the quick key (ctrl+shift+delete).


Google


Click the google button and click clear searches. Click the google button again and go to options, then click the search tab.

On internet explorer, click on Tools then Internet Options then click on delete all history files cookies. :)
