How do i clear my web search history ?

聽聽聽To clear your search history and prevent it from being saved in the future follow these steps:

聽聽聽If you use Internet Explorer, click the ';Tools'; link at the top of the window then select ';Internet Options';. Click on ';Content'; tab at top. Under ';Personal Information'; on the bottom half of the window click ';Auto Complete';. Uncheck ';Web Addresses';, ';Forms'; and ';User Names %26amp; Passwords on Forms';. That prevents the Search History from being kept. To erase what's already there then below that click the ';Clear Forms'; and ';Clear Passwords'; buttons. Then click on ';OK';, click ';Apply'; and click ';OK'; again to close the window and save your settings.

聽聽聽If you are using Firefox, click ';Tools';, then ';Options'; then ';Privacy'; then ';Saved Forms';. Click ';Clear Saved Forms'; to erase the saved data then uncheck the box in front of ';Save information I enter.....'; Click ';OK'; to close the window and save your settings.

聽聽聽If you wish to delete recent searches from the Yahoo! Search box on the Yahoo! Toolbar, click the pencil icon to the left of the Search Box then click ';Clear Recent Searches';. If you are using the newest version of Toolbar with Internet Explorer and see no pencil icon you need to click the Toolbar settings icon to do this. It's to the right of the green + symbol and looks like the silhouette of a person in a gray square. Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom. How do i clear my web search history ?
From your browser above click in the following order:

Tools, internet options, general tab.

Clear history, cookies, offline content, files.
more often than not (depending on your web browser), it can be done this way.

1) select tools

2) select options.../internet options

3)look for a history tab (for mozilla firefox) or simply click clear history

4) remember, however, that this only erases THE WEBSITES YOU VISITED and NOT THE FILES FROM THESE SITES THAT WENT INTO YOUR CACHE

so if you want to erase as much proof as you want, you should erase history in your options, clear/empty cache AND delete cookies. if applicable, clear download history.
You bring up internet options in control panel. From there you can see an option that says delete cookies or clear history. Then you just choose what to delete. Good luck
