How do I clear the search history?

Under Tools on the menu bar go to Internet Options and somewhere in that first screen should be an option to clear you history. It varies on what type of browser you have.How do I clear the search history?
If you dont mean the search history stored by toolbars like yahoo and google toolbars, then you need to clear the history stored by your vrowser.





CLEARING YOUR BROWSER HISTORY





To clear your history from Internet Explorer:





1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.


2. Select ';Internet Options.';


3. Click the ';General'; tab.


4. Click the ';Clear History'; button. To completely disable the history function, set ';Days to keep pages in history'; to zero.





To clear your history from Mozilla Firefox:





1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.


2. Select ';Options'; %26gt; ';Privacy'; %26gt; ';History.';


3. Click on ';Clear.'; To completely disable the history function, set ';Remember visited pages for the last X days'; to zero (';0';).


4. Click ';OK'; to exit.











Also, if you wish not to get any auto-complete words when you start typing on the web pages for making a search, you can do this . Go to Tools%26gt;Internet Options %26gt; Content %26gt; Auto Complete.





Click on ';Forms'; so that the tick goes away. Click ok.How do I clear the search history?
I am having the same problem I clear the history but when I go to a web site like google it still has all the things I have searched for there..I am sorry I don't know

In Yahoo Toolbar :


In the left side of your search toolbar (yahoo) you can find a pencil icon. Click on that pencil icon and select ';Clear Recent Seraches';.





In Google Toolbar :


To clear your search history from the drop-down text box on the Google Toolbar:


1. Click on the 'Google' logo to access the drop-down menu.


2. Select the 'Clear Search History' option. This will clear all the previous searches from the drop-down box.





If you mean in browsers like IE, Firebox :





In Internet Explorer





* Go to menu, tools =%26gt;Internet options =%26gt; content.


Click AutoComplete in the bottom. In the resulting window click clear forms.





* To permanently stop saving the search and form field entries goto Tools=%26gt;Internet Options=%26gt;Content=%26gt;AutoComplete uncheck all the boxes and click ok.





In Firebox





* Either press Ctrl+Shift+Del or Click Tools=%26gt;Clear Private Data.





* To pemanently stop saving data that you entered in search and form fields :


Goto to Tools=%26gt;options=%26gt;Privacy=%26gt;Saved... uncheck the ';Save Information As I enter in Form and Search Fields';





your search or form entries will not appear anymore.
-Click on 'Tools' button on the toolbar of your browser.


-Then click on 'Internet options'.


-Goto 'general'


-Then click on 'Clear History' button.


Now it is cleared.
Go to Tools, options, privacy, and from there you will find it.
Usually you have to click on each individual item and then 'right' click it. It will then prompt you to delete it. I've only had it happen once that it would not delete the selected item.
