You can press the down arrow key to select a single item to delete and press the DEL key. Assuming you are using IE, you can go to Tools, Options, Content, Auto Complete to get to a dialog to both turn off Auto Complete and clear your histoy (with the Clear Forms button. There are also many shareware utilities to make it easier to clean up all kinds of history data. IE Privacy Keeper is a nice free program that can do simplify this for you. They even have a no-install version that you can put on a USB drive to use on shared computers to cover your tracks.How do you clear auto-fill words from search text boxes?
That's your browser's autocomplete function. In Internet Explorer, Go into Internet Options, Click the Content tab, then the Autocomplete button, and click Clear Forms.
- Goto ';Tools %26gt;%26gt; Internet Options';

- Choose the ';Content'; tab then press ';AutoComplete'; button

- Press the ';Clear Forms'; button to clear auto-fill words

- If you want to disable the auto-fill words, uncheck the ';forms'; option

- Press ';OK';, then ';OK';
