How do u clear out the search bar?

you go to tools, click on internet options. then u click on clear history. its on the very first page.How do u clear out the search bar?

You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools%26gt; internet options%26gt; content%26gt; auto complete%26gt; clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.





You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil%26gt; toolbar options%26gt; uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history%26gt; ok.





To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools%26gt; internet options%26gt; general %26gt; clear history %26gt; set the number of days to zero%26gt; ok.

Just to the left of the search bar like Google, MSN, Yahoo, just click on the Google, or the MSN or Yahoo and there's an option to clear the search bar - just click it and it'll be cleared. Or go to Tools, Internet Options, and it's in the General - it'll say ';clear History'; just click that too. - there's different ways to do them all.
However, if you wish to delete search history saved by the browser and auto-filled when you type on the yahoo website, here is the solution:





To clear your history from Internet Explorer:


1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.


2. Select ';Internet Options.';


3. Click the ';General'; tab.


4. Click the ';Clear History'; button. To completely disable the history function, set ';Days to keep pages in history'; to zero.





To clear your history from Mozilla Firefox:


1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.


2. Select ';Options'; %26gt; ';Privacy'; %26gt; ';History.';


3. Click on ';Clear.'; To completely disable the history function, set ';Remember visited pages for the last X days'; to zero (';0';).


4. Click ';OK'; to exit.

On the right side of the bar before you get to the web search button click on the bar (you may have to click it a few times) will open a drop down box that will bring you at the front of items you searched for.


Place your mouse pointer over the first item and you will see it highlight. Do not click the item just leave your mouse where it is and hit the delete button on your keyboard. The item will vanish and the next will take its place and become highlighted. Just keep hitting the delete button and watch them go away.


This will work for any browser.
