How do you clear names in the search screen?

While looking at the chat rooms someone sent me a message and thier name is now in the drop down menu. I want to clear this menu or delet this one name. any clue how to do this?How do you clear names in the search screen?
Up on your tool bar click Tools, On the drop down menu go down to Clear private data. that will clear your data on all drop down menus. Have you tried highlighting that name and then click Delete ?
