How do you clear previous searches from search bar?

If you have toolbar with search facility, that is easy if you click on the little arrow, there is an option to clear history (google) or click options and then clear (yahoo);





If you mean the main address bar where you type the web address you have to delete browing history and/ or temporary internet files cache (go to tools, or tools internet options)





Failing that download a free utility called Listzapper (do a search) which will optionally delete lots of lists eg recent history, recent documents etc Hope this helpsHow do you clear previous searches from search bar?

To delete individual searches from drop down menu in the Yahoo! Home Page 'Web Search' bar:


Hover pointer on search to highlight, then hit the 'delete' key on your keyboard. Hold down 'delete' key to delete all.





To clear passwords, pages, web search history, and temporary files in Yahoo! Web Search bar with IE6 Browser: (Clear Cache)





1. Log out ('Sign Out')





2. Click 'Tools' on your browser.





3. Click 'Internet Options'.





4. At the 'General' tab, in the 'Temporary Internet files' section:


(a. Click Delete Cookies'.


(b. Click 'OK'.


(c. Click 'Delete Files'.


(d. Check the box: '[/]Delete all offline content'


(e. Click 'OK'.





5. At the 'History' section:


(a. Click 'Clear History'.





6. Click the 'Content' tab (top center).


In the 'Personal information' section:


(a. Click the 'AutoComplete' button.


(b. In the Clear AutoComplete history' section:


(c. Click on the 'Clear Forms' button.


(d. Click 'OK'.


(e. Click on the 'Clear Passwords' button.


(f. Click 'OK'.


(g. Click 'OK'.





7. Click 'OK'.





8. To disable this feature:


In the 'Use AutoComplete for' section:


Uncheck the boxes:


'[_] Web addresses'





'[_] Forms'


'[_] User names and passwords on forms'





11. Close browser.





12. Open browser.





13. Log back in ('Sign In').

You click on tools then you click internet options and clear your history, cookies and files and that will clear everything from your computer...
ARE YOU HIDING IT FROM MOTHER OR EMPLOYER?
Go to tools%26gt;options.clear history, delete files etc
lol did you search for something nasty that you dont want ur parents to see? lol ok, go to web browser option and clear histories, cache, and temp files.
For the yahoo toolbar only: Click tools, internet options, delete cookies, delete files, and clear history.





For the Yahoo search engine; If you have Internet Explorer as your browser, you may clear the search history by following these instructions:


Select the 'Tools' menu in Internet Explorer.


Select 'Internet Options', then select the 'Content' tab.


Under Personal information, click on the 'AutoComplete' box.


On the AutoComplete Settings window you can click the 'Clear Forms' box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the Forms box to permanently stop the generation of the search history.
Look @ the top of your browser window go over to 'Tools' then down to 'Internet Options' then click on the button that says 'Delete Cookies' and I believe that will do it.
